Hagia Sophia + Topkapi Palace Combo Tickets + Audio Guide
This combo covers skip-the-line entry to both Topkapi Palace (with Harem) and Hagia Sophia, with multilingual audio guide for both. The two sites are a 3-minute walk apart — the most natural same-day pairing in Istanbul. The combo saves money against buying individually and eliminates the need to queue at two separate ticket offices.
Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia face each other across a square in Istanbul’s Sultanahmet district. They represent the two greatest monuments of Ottoman and Byzantine civilisation respectively, and visiting both on the same day is the most natural itinerary in the city. This combo ticket makes that day as efficient as possible: skip-the-line entry to both, audio guide for both, one booking.

Topkapi Palace
The seat of the Ottoman sultans from 1465 to 1856, covering 700,000 square metres across four courtyards with the Harem, Imperial Treasury, Sacred Relics Room, and extraordinary Bosphorus views. Allow 3–4 hours. See our complete palace guide for a full breakdown.
Hagia Sophia
Originally built as a Christian cathedral in 537 AD, converted to a mosque in 1453, a secular museum from 1934 to 2020, and now an active mosque open to visitors outside prayer times. One of the greatest buildings in human history — its dome spans 31 metres and rises 55 metres above the floor, and the interior contains extraordinary Byzantine mosaics alongside Ottoman calligraphy. The upper gallery, reached by a ramp, provides the finest view of the nave and surviving mosaics. Allow 1–1.5 hours.
Note on Hagia Sophia prayer times: Hagia Sophia is an active mosque — it closes to visitors during the five daily prayer times, each lasting approximately 30–90 minutes. Plan your visit to Hagia Sophia for a period between prayers. Prayer times shift daily with the solar calendar — check the current schedule on the day of your visit.
The Contrast Between the Two Sites
Visiting Topkapi and Hagia Sophia on the same day creates one of the most powerful historical contrasts available in any city. Hagia Sophia — Byzantine, 6th century, soaring, sublime, built for Christian worship and then Islamic prayer — represents the world the Ottomans inherited. Topkapi — Ottoman, 15th century, sprawling, intimate, the private world of the sultan — represents what they built with it. Together they tell the story of Istanbul’s 1,500 years of civilisational layering more completely than either can alone.
